Cycling route Kalmthoutse Heide and Brabantse Wal

This route takes you through the Belgian-Dutch border area just south of Bergen op Zoom. Soon after getting on, you cycle through the Kalmthoutse Heide. An extensive heathland where you can enjoy the varied nature, the silence and the fresh air. Just before junction 80 there is a lookout tower, from the top you have a beautiful view of, among other things, the Stappersveen. Then you cycle through Kalmthout and Kapellenbos, a town known for its many villas. Via the border town of Putte you cycle into the forests of the Brabantse Wal, further on you make a shortcut through Ossendrecht. Just before Huijbergen you cycle through Eiland. This hamlet takes its name from an island in a fen where a gallows once stood. The route ends at Brasserie de Wolf.
