Haastrecht is a beautiful old town on the Hollandse IJssel. Ideal to explore by walking. You will pass the Town Hall, a beautiful building from 1618. As you walk through the Hoogstraat, you will see even more beautiful monumental buildings. Then you walk through the Hooge Boezem, which was already designed in the fifteenth century as an overflow area for the river De Vlist. Here you will see Boezemmolen 6 from 1873. The Overtuin is a city park laid out in English style, in the accompanying mansion is Museum Paulina Bisdom van Vliet. You walk west along the Hollandse IJssel. You pass several old dike farms, you also pass Camping Streefland. You cross the river, after which you walk through the city park Gouds Geschenk and along the water back to Haastrecht.
