Your route starts at Boer, Winkel Van Het Land. The Heimolen was built in 1844. Originally, this was a wooden octagonal mill, but in 1866 the wooden hull was replaced by a stone version. De Posthoorn is a hamlet in the municipality of Rucphen. An important postal route used to run here. After the St. Elizabeth's flood of 1421, a turbulent inland sea foamed from Dordrecht to Oudenbosch. Strong sailing ships crossed here. From Oudenbosch, people travelled to Rucphen by horse and cart. For two centuries, there was a ferry service between Oudenbosch and Dordrecht, which brought much prosperity to Oudenbosch. Hence the construction of impressive buildings such as the Basilica of Saints Agatha and Barbara from 1880. This is a modest copy of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.
