Tour of the Drentsche Aa river valleys

Your route starts at Camping Diana Heide. First, have a cup of coffee at Restaurant Diana Heide! Today you will explore National Park Drentsche Aa. This area was created thousands of years ago through close cooperation between man and nature. The Drentsche Aa does not actually exist, only a small part in Groningen is named that way. The entire stream system is called the Drentsche Aa, the side branches are named after their location - such as the Oudemolense Diep or Anlooerdiepje. With this route you will explore the Andersche Diep and the Grolloerdiep, among others. Rolde, Anderen and Grolloo are nice places to get off! Here you can see the esdorpen landscape for which the park is known. In Rolde, the regional museum Het Dorp van Bartje is also recommended.
