A figure eight at Haaksbergen

Your route starts at Boerderijappartementen & Camping't Katreel. This walk is in a figure eight, so you will pass your starting point again before you start the second part of the route. Handy to eat and drink something at the campsite, or to divide the route over two days. First you walk to the Needse Achterveld, a beautiful nature reserve near Neede. Among other things, bell heather and purple moor grass grow here. You will also encounter some differences in altitude. On the higher grounds you will see old juniper bushes. The Needse Achterveld is one of the last remaining wet heathlands in the Netherlands. With a trip through this quiet nature reserve you can relax in the greenery. Then you make a nice round along the Fluttersbeek.
