Tour of Zwaakse Weel near Nisse

Your route starts at Schaapskooi Zeeland. In the nature reserve de Zwaakse Weel near Goes you can experience the Zeeland nature up close. A weel is a former pothole, created by a dike breach. You can recognize them by the bend in the new dike that has been built around the deep, round hole. Walking and cycling paths lead you right along the creek, old fields are still worked by Zeeland draft horses and you can pick fruit in the high-stem orchard. Take something tasty with you to the beautiful picnic spot at the Zwaakse Weel farm, in the middle of a lush flower garden with fruit trees and an adventure garden for children. A little further on you will pass the Grote Weel. The Brilletjesdijk takes its name from the weeltjes, which together look like a pair of glasses.
