Description
Your route starts at Schaapskooi Zeeland. In front of the entrance to the Bevrijdingsmuseum Zeeland, in Nieuwdorp, lie the propeller and two on-board weapons as a tribute to the crew of the Feathered Injun. Be sure to stop by the museum, which takes you back to the Second World War, when allied soldiers of various nationalities fought the German occupiers in Zeeland. You cycle through Zeeland villages to Middelburg, the second most important city in the Netherlands at the time of the VOC. You will still see many beautiful buildings from this period. Veere is one of the most beautiful and pleasant fortified towns in the Netherlands. You can admire magnificent monuments there, such as the Grote Kerk from 1348. The town hall with its beautiful facade dates from the fifteenth century. So get off!
