Your route starts at Aan de Bock. You walk into nature on narrow paths with exciting names such as Duistergatsken. In Munstergeleen, stop by the Chapel of Father Karel, in a half-timbered farm on the beautiful Geleenbeek. This is where the canonized Father Karel, whose real name was Johannes Andreas Houben, grew up. The visitor center, small museum and the silent garden are free to enter. A little further on, in Abshoven, you pass an old monastery church, now a restaurant. Then you follow the Geleenbeek south on a nice path called Kwaad Gat. On the eastern side of the stream you walk into the Danikerbos. The Danikerberg is the highest point in the region. Also note the regional small, overgrown slopes in open areas, called ditches.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
