Your route starts at Kasteel Terborgh. Further on, in Oude Kerk, you will find the Sint-Annakapel from 1865. From here, you will walk to Huis Ten Dijcke. The country estate, built around 1600, is hidden between Canadian poplars and pollard willows. You will walk through the Stammenderbos to the Sint Jansmolen. This overshot watermill from 1340 belonged to Kasteel Sint-Jansgeleen, on the other side of the Geleenbeek. The castle has been demolished, but you will see a beautiful square farm. Oud-Geleen is really old: people lived here around 7000 years ago. That makes it one of the oldest inhabited areas in the Netherlands. The church was founded in the Carolingian period (800-850). The current church tower dates from 1504. Take a break at Aan de Bock before you walk back through the Danikerbos!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
