Your route starts at Aan de Bock. From the Stammenderbos you descend to the beautiful Geleenbeekdal. Black alder and ash grow along the stream, higher up you see beeches and oaks. In Genhout you see a few square farms and you also pass through Waterval, a picturesque hamlet where time seems to have stood still. In the picturesque Meerssen you cycle through the centuries-old Proosdijpark. It is designed in English landscape style. A little further on you pass the country estates Vaeshartelt and Bethlehem, special places for a coffee stop. The moated medieval Borgharen Castle is a picture. In the Maas valley you cycle on a car-free road between grasslands and fields to Itteren, a beautiful village around the Sint-Martinus church from 1784. Elsloo Castle is the eye-catcher of the historic village of Elsloo.
