Your route starts at Wandelpark, in the middle of the green just outside Valkenswaard. Nearby you can take a look at the Velt garden and the Heemp garden. Then you walk through Valkenswaard. In the authentic Kempen landscape against the Belgian border you can taste the history. Watermill De Venbergsemolen became the ban mill of the Norbertine Priory of Postel in 1331: local residents were obliged to grind their grain there and part of the proceeds went to the priory. From here you walk straight into the damp and rolling nature reserve Malpie. The sand ridges date back to the Ice Age. The wind then blew the sand away in some places, to blow it into a pile further on. In this way a whole series of small hills were created, with beautiful pools in the hollows.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
