Tour of Schoorlse Dunes from the Visitor Centre

Your route starts at Buitencentrum Schoorlse Duinen. Here you will learn more about the special nature of the Schoorlse Duinen, the highest and widest dunes in the Netherlands. You will see open drifting dunes, dense forests and heathlands. The nature is very varied thanks to the gap in the first row of dunes, where seawater can flow in during storms. You can take beautiful walks on an extensive network of walking routes, but there are also places you can go off the paths: so-called wandering areas. De Speelkuil is such a wandering area where you can discover the dunes in your own way. Take a break at De Berenkuil, a cozy spot in the middle of nature. Before you return to your starting point, enjoy the beautiful view at the top of the Duintrap Schoorlse Duinen.
