Your route starts at De Breyerie Eetcafe. You walk straight into Ledeacker, a small village that already had a reputation early on. Ledeacker had its own late bench from the 15th century, later converted into a court of aldermen. The village had its own mayor during the French period. From 1891, Ledeacker was known as a place of pilgrimage, because in 1860 two fires were started shortly after each other by lightning strikes. Further on you will discover the ecological connection zone De Tovensche Beek. The stream rises in the St. Anthonisbos, with these ecological zones different nature reserves are connected to each other. In this way plants and animals can safely expand their habitat, so that you get a healthy nature here. You will find new flowery grasslands, thickets and pools for amphibians. The stream has also been made less deep.
Tour tip; Hiking with kids! Routes up to 5 km are ideal
