Cycling route Wapenveld, Heerde and Wezep

Between Wezep and Heerde it is wonderfully quiet cycling through the forests on the Veluwe. First you cycle through the vast Landgoed Petrea with its mix of coniferous and deciduous trees. Just before junction 85 you pick up the Baronnenlijn, a cycle path that runs on the route of the former railway connection between Apeldoorn and Zwolle. The Baronnenlijn was in use between 1889 and 1950 and owes its name to the many nobles who lived along this railway connection. Then you come across Landgoed Vosbergen, the castle dates from 1623. In Heerde you see, among other things, the Johanneskerk. The second part of the route you cycle through the vast forests again. You come through, among other things, the nature reserve De Dellen and the Zwolse Bos. The route ends at De Zeuven Heuvels.
