A day on the Zeeland coast: that means relaxing in a beach pavilion and cycling through old villages behind the dunes. This route takes you across Walcheren where you will find many sights. The starting point of this cycle route is in Oostkapelle at Frieterie De Bostent. Here you can enjoy delicious sandwiches, snacks, artisanal fries or a soft ice cream. The route takes you through Vrouwenpolder, Serooskerke and Grijpskerke: characteristic villages where you see old churches and monumental mills. On the Market of the seaside resort of Domburg you can see the former town hall from 1567 and the fifteenth-century church. In the woods you will pass Westhove Castle, which originally dates from the thirteenth century. The Terra Maris Museum is located in the former orangery. There is a reconstructed motte-and-bailey castle on the Vliedberg.
