The nature between Enschede and De Lutte

Between De Lutte and Enschede lies a string of unique nature reserves. First, you'll cycle through the bocage landscape west of the Dinkel River. Just past Losser, you'll pass through the Haagse Bos (The Hague Forest). Formerly a commercial forest, it now boasts a rich variety of flora and birdlife. From junction 2, you'll cycle through the woods of Hooge Boekel, an estate founded in the nineteenth century by a Twente textile manufacturer. Hof Espelo is an estate over 800 years old. A beautiful area where nature and culture are intertwined. You'll cycle through a mosaic of woodland, ancient lanes, grassy meadows, hedgerows, springs, and streams. Via the Lonnekerberg and Boerskotten, you'll return to Eetcafe 't Lutters Kwartier. Time for a drink on a cozy terrace.
