The nature between Enschede and De Lutte

Between De Lutte and Enschede lies a series of special nature reserves. First you cycle through the coulisse landscape that lies west of the Dinkel. Just past Losser you cycle through the Haagse Bos. This used to be a production forest, now you will find plenty of variation in flora and birds. From junction 2 you cycle through the forests of Hooge Boekel, an estate that was founded in the nineteenth century by a textile manufacturer from Twente. Hof Espelo is an estate that is more than 800 years old. A beautiful area where nature and culture are interwoven. You cycle through a mosaic of forest, old lanes, grassy meadows, hedgerows, springs and streams. Via the Lonnekerberg and Boerskotten you cycle back to Eetcafe't Lutters Kwartier. Time for a cozy terrace.
