A varied day in the Westland

The Westland is easy to explore by bike. The route starts in Naaldwijk where you first drive through the historic center. Further on you pass through Wollebrand and Kraaiennest, two recreational areas that also serve as water storage. Via Maassluis you drive to the Nieuwe Waterweg and cycle downstream towards the sea. Get a breath of fresh air while looking at the large ocean ships. At Hoek van Holland you will see some old lighthouses, then you go north and drive through the dunes at your leisure. Past Monster you turn into the polders. Here you will see a mix of ditches, grasslands and of course the greenhouses for which Westland is so famous.
