Tour of Dubbroek from Maasbree

Your route starts at Cafe de Pool in Maasbree. Near the village you will discover various nature reserves that together form De Greune Lung, De Groene Long in Venlo dialect. Dubbroek, Koelbroek, Kraijelheide (or Craijelheide) and de Boekend are among them. You can fully enjoy the winding streams, lush forests, hedgerows and open landscapes. A wonderfully varied area! Dubbroek in particular, a nature reserve in an old riverbed of the Meuse, is very beautiful. You will see ash, summer oak and black alder here. In the spring you will see many flowers here, such as the yellow flowering marsh marigold. The flowery grasslands even turn completely pink because of the Pentecost flowers that then cover the greenery like a carpet. Via the small hamlet of Zandberg you walk back to your starting point. Enjoy the rural surroundings for a while longer!
