Peel en Maas, Limburg, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 4873604
Provided by: route.nl
From your starting point, you immediately cycle through the Heldense Bossen and the adjacent Boekenderbos. Here you can enjoy miles of natural beauty, fresh air and silence. Stop off in Maasbree at Cafe de Pool! The village of Baarlo is known for its castles, such as Kasteel d\\\'Erp. Kessel is home to Kasteel Keverberg, a uniquely restored ruin. The medieval castle contrasts beautifully with the glass construction that shows the contours of the past. From the castle, you have a beautiful view of the Maas, the fields and the forests. You cycle back through the Gruise Epper nature reserve, named after the road of the same name that runs here. It should actually have been called Grieze Upper: grey, infertile sand, which is situated high up. Nowadays, it is wonderfully green.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
