Description
A beautiful bike ride through varied nature.
You start under the bridge at Ravels (N12 Tilburg-Turnhout). You can park your car there for free.
Then you cycle along the Dessel-Turnhout-Schoten canal to junction 20; bridge 6.
A beautiful place for lunch or a drink.
The route takes you alternately through forests (many coniferous forests) and heathland to De Liereman Nature Visitor Center. You can also have a drink or snack here.
After junction 63, follow junction 32. If the ferry sails over the Dessel-Turnhout-Schoten canal, it is fun to cross with it (free, tip is allowed). Once crossed, turn left and cycle along the canal to end point 32 Just before junction 32 you have a nice terrace to end your cycling tour ;-)
If the ferry is not running , keep following junction 32 and then cross the concrete bridge to the other side. We had a lot of fun too!
