Tour of the Circle of Dorth, Laren and Lochem

This route starts at Woodbrooke Barchem. At Lochem you will discover a picturesque, idyllic landscape: National Landscape De Graafschap. It is a beautiful small-scale area that is characterized by the fairytale vistas. Vineyard De Zessprong is located in the municipality of Lochem. On the loam and sandy soil of this vineyard, the grapes are grown in the purest possible way. The history of Oolde Castle goes back to 1367. Olt Oolde was located approximately 500 meters north of the current Oolde, the current and only remaining Oolde was built by Goossens van Keppel and was first called the Nijenhuis. It possibly had the function of a hunting lodge, but a chapel is also described at Old Oolde of which the cross vaults in the lower house could be the remains.
