Description
Your route starts with a cup of coffee at Woodbrooke Barchem. Various grape varieties are grown organically at Wijngaard de Nieuwe Baankreis in Almen. The vineyard also serves as a free range area for the chickens of a laying hen company of the same owners. You can also visit the STAAL museum in Almen, which is dedicated to the Achterhoek and the poet Staring. Via Laren you drive through the scenic landscape to Geesteren. Beekvliet is a beautiful estate with farmland, forests and canals between Barchem and Borculo. Go out here and enjoy the varied nature you encounter. There are many old pedunculate oaks in the forest. Also get off at the Erve Brooks Museum Farm. At this sixteenth-century farmhouse from 1538 you will find a shop with gifts and wooden toys.
