Tour of Borculo, Barchem, Gelselaar and Geesteren

You start the route at Woodbrooke Barchem. The Zwiepse Mill is still in operation. This octagonal windmill was placed in 1851 on the Zwiepse Berg near Barchem. De Heest Estate is located at the foot of the Lochemse mountain. This estate has a fairytale location on the banks of the De Berkel river. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the house on the estate was renovated and a coach house and a drawbridge were added. Also get off at the Erve Brooks Museum Farm. At this sixteenth-century farmhouse from 1538 you will find a shop with gifts and wooden toys. The beautiful eleventh-century village church is located in neighboring Geesteren. Borculo received city rights in 1375 and in the center you can see beautiful monuments such as an eighteenth-century water mill.
