Tour of Borculo, Barchem, Gelselaar and Geesteren

You start the route at Woodbrooke Barchem. The Zwiepse Molen is still in operation. This octagonal windmill was placed in 1851 on the Zwiepse Berg near Barchem. Landgoed De Heest can be found at the foot of the Lochemse berg. This estate is situated in a fairytale setting on the banks of the river De Berkel. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the house on the estate was renovated and a coach house and a drawbridge were added. Also stop off at Museumboerderij Erve Brooks. At this sixteenth-century farm from 1538 you will find a shop with gifts and wooden toys. In the neighbouring Geesteren you will find the beautiful eleventh-century village church. Borculo was granted city rights in 1375 and in the centre you will see beautiful monuments such as an eighteenth-century watermill.
