Tour of Delden, Twickel and Deldeneresch

From your starting point Park Camping Mooi Delden you walk straight through the nice old Delden to Twickel Castle. When Herman van Twickelo purchased the then Eysinc here in 1347, this property developed into the manor of Twickel. With more than 4,000 hectares, this is the largest private estate in the Netherlands. The open gardens are impressive. You can also visit Wendezoele Museum Farm nearby. Then you continue to the picturesque Deldeneresch. It is located on the northern part of the Delden moraine. The cover sand relief here is still reasonably intact and representative. The old hamlet is also beautifully preserved, you will see historic farms such as Ottenhof. Since the seventeenth century, almost all farms in Deldeneresch were owned by the Twickel Estate, the current Twickel Foundation.
