In the Loonse and Drunense Duinen you can enjoy fragrant conifers, oaks, birches and drifting sand. You drive to Raamsdonksveer via Kaatsheuvel. Drop off at Café ons Thuis in Raamsdonksveer! The route partly runs over a former railway line between Lage Zwaluwe and 's Hertogenbosch, constructed for the leather industry. The railway was opened between 1886 and 1890 and was entirely financed with revenues from the Indies. The connection was officially called the Langstraatlijn, but was colloquially called the Halve Zolenlijn because of the shoe industry in Waalwijk. In the village of Sprang you can take a look at the St. Nicholas Church, which originally dates from the Middle Ages. Further on is the Dye Sprancke, a flour mill from 1747. Back in the Loonse and Drunense Duinen you drive through the picturesque hamlet of Giersbergen.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
