Cycling route

From the Gelderland Achterhoek to Overijssel
The first part of this route takes you through the Winterswijk National Landscape. The landscape here consists of small pieces of land and ash trees with groves, avenues, hedgerows and here and there pieces of raised bog. You will also find authentic farms and charming villages and towns such as Lichtenvoorde and Groenlo. From here you continue to the Overijssel town of Raalte. Here you can take a look at the American Motorcycle Museum to admire old American motorcycles. You then drive along the edge of De Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park to Nijverdal and then to Enschede. Vreden is the next town on the route and you will eventually arrive back at the starting point of the route in Meddo.

Hotel Restaurant Meddo
Here you can go to Hotel Restaurant Meddo for a tasty snack and a drink. It is also possible to spend the night in this motor hotel. Then you can rest well from your tour. During the summer months you can enjoy a nice barbecue here every Saturday evening.

From city to city
You can of course drive this entire route in one go, but you can also take breaks at nice places along the way. Stop in charming villages or towns such as Lochem or Enschede and sit on a terrace to stretch your legs. Do you like nature more than built-up areas? Then you can of course also take a moment of rest at the Utrechtse Heuvelrug or one of the other green areas you encounter along the way.
