The start and end point of this route is Hotel Bru in Bruinisse. You can have a delicious lunch at the Petit kitchen & bar restaurant so you can get off to a good start with the route. The eastern tip of Duiveland was surrounded by dikes in 1468. This village was subsequently created on that spot. Bruinisse is a real fishing village. Mussel farming in particular is an important source of income here. Then you cycle further along the coast to Sirjansland. You cycle around this village through an extensive polder landscape past the towns of Nieuwerkerk and Oosterland. In the center of Oosterland you will find the Oosterlandse mill, a corn mill from 1752. The mill is now kept running by volunteer millers. Then you cycle via Ouwekerk to the coast, which you follow all the way back to Bruinisse.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
