Cycling route Oosterhout and surroundings

First you drive across the Vrachelse Heide. You will see the Schans near the Pannenhuis. From 1672 onwards the English, French and Germans fought against the Republic. Republican soldiers withdrew behind the Schans near the Pannenhuis. In Oosterhout you pass through the Holy Triangle. There are three abbeys in this protected villagescape: the Abbey of Our Lady, the Saint Paul's Abbey and the Catherine Valley, which is located in the centuries-old castle De Blauwe Camer. Drop off at Cafe ons Thuis in Raamsdonksveer! Then you discover De Donge at's Gravenmoer: unusually enough, this is not a river but a lowland stream. It is created by ground and rainwater that merge into a stream. Cycling along the Donge you have beautiful views over the polders. You pedal back along the edge of Boswachterij Dorst.
