Renesse beach and dune walking route

From Restaurant HeerlijkZo you can take a varied walk through the Kop van Schouwen, a Natura 2000 area that extends from Westerschouwen to behind Renesse. You walk through forest and the characteristic Dutch dune landscape of grasses and low shrubs. An ideal opportunity to relax for a moment. You also cross the dunes to walk along the beach. Get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the sound of the surf and the view over the North Sea. If the weather is nice you can take a dip. On the horizon you see the Brouwersdam, completed in 1971, the seventh project in the Delta Works. You can walk leisurely back to Renesse over leafy roads. On the old Ring you will see some beautiful monumental buildings, such as the Jacobuskerk from 1506.
