Cycling route Renesse, Oosterschelde and Burgh-Haamstede

From Renesse you can take a varied cycle tour across the former island of Schouwen. You will immediately see that you will find a rich cultural history here when you cycle onto the old ring road of Renesse. You will see some beautiful old buildings, such as the Jacobuskerk from 1506. Further on you will pass Slot Moermond. After driving a bit through the agricultural countryside, you arrive at the Schelphoek nature reserve. On the left you look out over the Oosterschelde. From the top of the Plompetoren you have an even more beautiful panorama of this national park. Westerschouwen Forestry is the largest forest in Zeeland. Originally this was a large sloping drifting sand plain, now pine, oak, birch and poplar grow there. Via Burgh-Haamstede you drive back to Restaurant HeerlijkZo. Time for a snack on the terrace.
