You start and end this varied walking route at the Visitors' Centre De Warandepoort, where you can find information about the area and the Park of Tervuren. The Park of Tervuren, also known as the Warande of Tervuren, is one of the Flemish gates to the Sonian Forest. You walk through dense forests, past elegant French gardens, ponds and flower beds.
On this walking route you will pass various sights:
- The baroque Saint-Hubertus Chapel.
- The Panquinkazerne, a former military horseshoe complex.
- The 'Zevenster', where several paths converge and the Duisburg Dolmen Stone can be admired.
- The ruins of the Gatehouse Hof Ter Munck, somewhat hidden but certainly worth deviating from the route around the Vossemvijver and walking 50 meters into the forest.
- The Gordaelmolen (The Spanish House), a restored mill house in the middle of the park of Tervuren.
- The Africa Museum, with a unique collection from the former colonies in Central Africa.
