Tour Bentelose Esch with or without MBS Steam Train

Bentelo is beautifully situated in the middle of the Twente coulisselandscape with its wooded banks and heathlands. You will pass through a number of rural hamlets with beautiful monumental farms. Around Beckum you will find many nature reserves - the Bentelerheide is owned by the Twickel Foundation, known for the estate just above Delden. From here you cycle to Boekelo, where you can take a ride at the Boekelo MBS or Zoutindustrie MBS stations. The Museum Buurtspoorweg runs old steam and diesel trains and locomotives over old narrow-gauge tracks through the modern landscape. The village of Boekelo is also worth a visit. Below Haaksbergen you will discover Landgoed Het Lankheet. The history of this 500 hectare estate goes back to 1188! Here you can still see an old farm landscape with ash trees, wooded banks and coppice groves.
