This cycling route takes you past several memorial monuments surrounding the Appelbergen nature reserve. The first one can be found on the Oosterbroekweg. It is dedicated to Anda Kerkhoven, a resistance woman who was shot dead on this spot on March 19, 1945 by Dutch accomplices of the Security Service. Then you cycle to the Drenthe village of Yde with its beautiful village green. You drive along the Hondstong, just before junction 6 you pass the Broken Circle. This work of art is located near the place where the Yde Girl was found in 1897. You drive to Noordlaren via Tynaarlo. Just in front of this village is G1, the only Groningen dolmen that is still in its original location. Finally, you will pass the'Monument Victims of the May Strike 1943\\\'. The route ends at Pannenkoekhuis Paviljoen Appelbergen.
