This cycle route takes you past several memorials that are located around the Appelbergen nature reserve. The first can be found on the Oosterbroekweg. It is dedicated to Anda Kerkhoven, a resistance fighter who was shot dead on this spot on 19 March 1945 by Dutch henchmen of the Sicherheitsdienst. Then you cycle to the Drenthe village of Yde with its beautiful village green. You cycle past the Hondstong, just before junction 6 you pass the Gebroken Cirkel. This work of art is located near the place where the Girl of Yde was found in 1897. Via Tynaarlo you cycle to Noordlaren. Just before this village is G1, the only Groningen dolmen that is still in its original location. Finally, you pass the 'Monument Slachtoffers Meistaking 1943'. The route ends at Pannenkoekhuis Paviljoen Appelbergen.
