Description
The route starts and ends in Boekhoute at the Visitor Center "Fishing Village without a Harbor." Here you pass the neo-Romanesque Holy Cross Church and the medieval Ter Leyen Castle.
You walk along the picturesque Grote and Rode Geul and the Grote and Kleine Kilkreek, which are part of the beautiful creek area of Assenede.
On your journey you will come across border post 315, which marks the border between the Netherlands and Belgium.
In Assenede you can admire the St. Peter and St. Martin Church and enjoy a snack or drink in the pleasant centre before returning to Boekhoute.
