The route starts and ends in Lembeke, a sub-municipality of Kaprijke, at the St. Egidius Church.
You walk past Aveschoot Castle, a beautiful moated castle with some outbuildings, and further to the historic Westermolen.
The route takes you through the rustic Lembeek forests and the Bellebargiebos (Kwadenbos).
Along the way you will come across a chapel in Kaprijke, founded in 1947 and dedicated to Our Lady of Sweet Consolation and Peace, as a thank you because Lembeke was spared the violence of war. Opposite the chapel is a Lourdes cave, built on the ruins of a German bunker.
You return to the start of the route via the picturesque Heihoekse Kerkwegel footpath.
