Description
This walking route starts and ends just outside Balen at walking junction 53 and mainly runs through the Keiheuvel and De Most nature reserves.
Via the Beverlo Canal you walk back through the Keiheuvel-De Most nature reserve and here two completely different nature reserves seamlessly connect. The Keiheuvel consists of inland dunes, pine forests, open dune grasslands and strips of dry heath. In De Most you walk through a marshy - sometimes even swampy - valley area.
The route is fully signposted with hiking junctions.
In wet weather, take appropriate footwear into account.
