Cycling through De Kempen Border Park from Bergeijk

From Bergeijk you can easily drive into the countryside. Relax for a while while you cycle past a mix of fields, grasslands and long-fronted farms. At the time of the Republic of the United Netherlands, Luyksgestel formed an enclave that was owned by the Prince-Bishopric of Liège. The name of the village still refers to this: it means the frame (a high and dry area) of Liège. Here you will pass the Border Guard, a flour mill from 1891. A little later you will enter Grenspark De Kempen. It is wonderfully peaceful here to cycle through the vast forests. You then pass over the Peelse Heide. Here you drive along the Groote Cirkel. This circle is said to correspond in size to the Place de l\\\'Etoile in Paris. The route ends at Regional Restaurant De Hofkaemer.
