Tour of Biesbosch, Geertruidenberg and Oosterhout

Your route starts at Wilgenhart, where you can camp or spend the night in the B&B. You can also grab a terrace there. From here you drive across the Vrachelse Heide. You will see the Schans near the Pannenhuis. From 1672 onwards the English, French and Germans fought against the Republic. Republican soldiers withdrew behind the Schans near the Pannenhuis. In Drimmelen you will find the Biesbosch Visitor Center of Staatsbosbeheer near the harbor, where you can learn everything about the Biesbosch. On the way back you pass through the fortified town of Geertruidenberg. Take a walk here on the picturesque Market Square with its many old merchant houses! Cycle back via the pleasant Oosterhout, past the OLV Abbey. This is still in use by the Benedictines.
