Description

Your route starts at Wilgenhart, where you can camp or spend the night in the B&B. You can also relax on a terrace before putting on your walking shoes. You quickly enter an unpaved path: the Bredasedijk, a wide dirt road that follows the course of the Grote Wouwer Lei. Then you dive into a beautiful path that takes you into the forest. Today you will take a nice tour through the Prinsenbos. You cross the forest all the way to the south side, it is beautifully vast. The Prinsenbos is so called because the forest is a legacy of Frederik van Oranje-Nassau (1797-1881). It is part of the Ulvenhoutse Bos Forestry, a natural heirloom. Some parts of this forest are a thousand years old, unique in the Netherlands!
