Tour of Bengelo: water and wine

Your route starts at Spoolder Proeven & Proosten. Your walk leads you to the Hof van Twente vineyard in Bentelo. Delicious quality wines are produced on an area of 5.5 hectares, spread over three locations. In 2000, the first grape vines were planted and the wine cellar, winery and tasting room were built. In 2004, the first red and white wines won prizes at the first official Dutch wine inspection. The well-known varieties Regent, Johanniter, Solaris and Riesel, among others, are grown at Hof van Twente. They don't add water to the wine here! This route does that, but only in a literal sense: you walk a long way along the beautiful Hagmolenbeek. A nice varied walking route through the beautiful scenic landscape!
