The start and end point of this walking route is on the outskirts of Ghent, at the Levende Leie - De Bourgoyen visitor center, housed in the Jan Huble Nature and Environmental Center. Ghent, the capital and largest city center of the province of East Flanders.
The route takes you through the Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen, a vast nature reserve of 230 hectares, largely located in the municipality of Mariakerke. This area consists mainly of damp grasslands, intersected by ditches and canals, and is an ideal place for birdwatching, despite its proximity to the city.
Enjoy the peace and natural beauty of this green lung, a surprising escape in the middle of the urban landscape.
