The start and end point of this walking route is in Aaigem, a village in the province of East Flanders and a sub-municipality of Erpe-Mere.
Through Heldergem, a village in a sub-municipality of the municipality of Haaltert, you continue to the Den Dotter nature reserve, an area with varied landscapes, meadows, wet forests and rolling fields. The name Den Dotter comes from the marsh marigold that turns the lawns yellow here in the spring.
Along the way you will come across the Gotegemmolen, this watermill is a protected heritage site.
At the end of the route you can admire the St. Nicholas Church or enjoy a snack or drink in the center.
Boots or sturdy footwear are recommended in rainy weather.
