Molsbroek route

The Molsbroek Route starts and ends in Lokeren near the beautiful market square where you can enjoy a drink on a terrace before or after the walk.

In Lokeren you can admire many beautiful historic buildings in the center, such as the St. Laurentius Church, City Museum and the Old Post Building.

Along the Durme river, which is located north of the city, you walk around the nature reserves Buylaersmeersen, Groot Molsbroek and Hagemeersen, a paradise for bird watchers.

At the pumping station with a fish ladder on the dam you come to the other side of the Durme and walk straight back to Lokeren city.

The route can be extended and takes you around the Hamputten, a breeding bird island and part of the Groot Molsbroek nature reserve.
