This walk starts and ends at hiking junction 79 just outside De Klinge, a village in the province of East Flanders and a sub-municipality of Sint-Gillis-Waas.
Before you start the walk you can find tourist information about the area in Klingspoor.
The Stropersbos, a nature reserve near the Dutch border where you can encounter Konik horses and sheep, with diverse fauna and flora, is ideal for a wooded walk.
In Tromp you can still see the remains of the moat of the former Fort Sint-Jan, where you can also take a rest on the picnic benches after which you walk along the Stekene Canal via the Braemstraat back to the Klinge.
