Tour It Wikelslan and Earnewald

Your route starts at Princenhof, Hotel & Restaurant, right in the heart of De Alde Feanen. In this low peat swamp - a national park - you look out over lakes, ditches and reedlands. Enjoy the peace and the endless horizon. In the It Wikelslân nature reserve you can spot rare birds such as the bluethroat and the bearded bird. On a nice day you might even walk with your feet through the water at the Earnewald Swimming Beach! On the way back you walk through the nice Earnewâld and take a ferry across. Earnewâld is a popular place for water sports enthusiasts, you see boats everywhere here. The marina is an attractive spot and you should not miss the Skûtsje Museum. It is wonderful to experience the atmosphere here!
