Description
This route passes through the Kalkense Meersen, a controlled flood area with an impressive ring dike. The area within the ring dike is designed to flood once every fifty years, during extremely high tides, and thus buffer the water of the Scheldt.
Between walking junctions 23 and 97 you will come across a landscape artwork called Salicetum, consisting of living willow branches that are woven together.
