Rupelmondsekreek route

The route runs through the Polder of Kruibeke, Basel and Rupelmonde and starts and ends in the center of Basel with St. Peter's Church and the Wissekerke moated castle as the main attractions.

The Kruibeke polder is a flood area, but the area is only really flooded a few times a year. When the water recedes here, a rich world of fauna and flora emerges with meadow and water birds, beavers and, with some luck, otters.
