The Mullemse Kapellekesroute starts in the early medieval village center of Mullem with its yellow houses. Between the trees is the"Little Castle\\\", a walled motte. Also visit the St. Hilarius Church in Mullem.
You continue walking through the Rooigembeekvallei nature reserve to Huise where you pass Sint-Petrus and Urbanuskerk.
Along the way you walk across the Wijngaardsbeekje on the Wilgenpad through open fields.
You will come across chapels in various places and many of them are painted blue.
A little further away is Den Ast Castle. The castle was built in the early 20th century in the French style, with a striking watchtower built during the First World War that towers high above the grounds. The castle is also known as Kasteel de Gerlache.
After the Bekemolen you end up in the green valley of the Rooigemsebeek nature reserve, with rich fauna and flora, before ending the walk in Mullem.
