Description
The route starts at the Achelse Kluis on the border of the Belgian Hamont-Achel and the Dutch Leende, in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve with fields, forests and heathland.
The walk goes through the Leenderbos, the Groote Heide and along the Beverbeekse Heide.
You will also encounter the death wire, a reconstruction of the deadly electric barrier along the border. From"Den droad\\\" as it is popularly called, there are information boards that give you extra information about the original construction in 1916 during the First World War.
