The Maasvallei route

This walk starts at the parking lot in Stokkum and runs largely on unpaved paths.

The route goes through the Negenoord nature reserve and past the hamlet of Boyen. The nature reserve has been transformed into these water ponds by gravel extraction. Negenoord is a colorful patchwork of grasslands and forests. You will see water birds there, but you may also encounter traces of beavers and large grazers.
